A petion to condone delay was filed by a party with a reason that he was affected by small pox. Normally those days reasons like chicken pox, jaundice would be given to avoid medical certificate. I as counsel for Respondent submitted that posters by Govt. as if small pox eradicated and if any information is given about small pox he would be awarded thousand Rupees. Justice Mr. Natarajan ( latter Supreme Court Judge) saying that the reediness to give award shows that Govt is not fully confident about eradication allowed the application.
