Tamil Nadu Government is in the process of formulating a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for speeding up prosecution in sexual offence cases against women and children. Government also proposes to increase the number of forensic labs in the State, Advocate General Vijay Narayan tells #MadrasHighCourt Chief Justice’s Bench in response to a case filed by a rape survivor who had been subjected to sexual assault by two policemen in Tiruvannamalai in September 2025.
