The confidence of the house/support of the MLAs to be proved in the assembly and not in any other forum.
The Constitutional provision as interpreted by the Hon’ble Supreme court in SR Bommai case and other judgments is very clear on this issue.
Hence the Governor of Tamil Nadu is legally and Constitutionally bound to call the leader of the single largest party to form the Government and with a request to prove the majority in the assembly at the earliest.
