O R D E R This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of
mandamus directing the respondents to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 09.06.2025 wherein the petitioner has sought for an inspection in the subject property, which is being put to use as a burial ground and which is said to be adjacent to a water body and to restore the water body to its original state to ensure free flow of water to the agricultural lands.
2. Heard Dr.N.Vijayaraj, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.E.Veda Bagath Singh, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondents.
3. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case
and considering the nature of grievance expressed by the petitioner and to ensure that a burial ground/cremation ground does not affect the water body and such burial/cremation shall be done only in the place, which is specifically designated by the authorities, there shall be a direction to the third respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 09.06.2025 and take a decision and convey the same to the petitioner within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
