Two advts suspended bar council speed action by Sekar Reporter · January 28, 2020 Case Details One Mr. Sundhar, S/o. Mr. Munusamy, residing at No. 125, J Block, Welcome Street, MMDA Colony, Arumbakkam, Chennai 600 106, lodged a complaint on 17.01.2020 at T3 Korattur Police Station at 05.30 A.M. stating that he has been running a shop in a complex and there is a land dispute between one Mr. Pazhanivel, owner of the complex and another one namely, Mr. Raju, who is having land behind the complex. On 17.01.2020, at 03.30 A.M., Mr. V. Nepoleon and Mr. S. Sakthivel along with others have unlawfully entered into the complex with JCB Vehicle and demolished the complex illegally and absconded from the place. On the above mentioned complaint a case was filed on the above mentioned two advocates in T3 Korattur Police Station as Crime No. 52/2020 under Sections 147, 148, 341, 148, 341, 336, 447, 294(b), 506(ii) IPC read with 3 of TNPPDL Act. On investigation by police, it came to light that Mr. V. Nepoleon and Mr. S. Sakthivel, advocates, have committed the above mentioned serious offences, and prima facie materials were established against them. On 17.01.2020, they have been arrested and produced before the Judicial Magistrate, Ambattur and confined in judicial custody and the investigation is pending. The Inspector of Police, T3 Korattur Police Station, has filed a complaint before the Bar Council on 21.01.2020 against the above said advocate requesting to take Disciplinary action. After the receipt of the complaint, the Bar Council has passed a resolution by circulation dated 24.01.2020 prohibiting the above said advocates from practicing as advocate in all Courts, Tribunals and other authorities in India either in his name or in any assumed name till the disposal of Disciplinary proceedings pending against them.
