As per the guidance of the Hon’ble Mr.Justice Sushrut Arvind Dharmadhikari, Chief Justice, Madras High Court/Patron-in-Chief, Tamil Nadu State Legal Services Authority, and as per the directions of the Hon’ble Mr.Justice S.M.Subramaniam, Judge, Madras High Court/Executive Chairman, Tamil Nadu State Legal Services Authority, this Authority had directed all the Legal Services Institutions across the State to hold Special Lok Adalat, today, i.e. 18.07.2026 (Saturday), pertaining to the cases under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, throughout the State of Tamil Nadu.

The High Court Legal Services Committee has constituted three benches at the Principal Seat of the Madras High Court, comprising Hon’ble Mr.Justice D.Bharatha Chakravarthy, Hon’ble Mr.Justice V.Lakshminarayanan, Judges, Madras High Court; and Hon’ble Mr. Justice B. Gokuldas, former Judge of the Madras High Court, and two benches at the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court, comprising Hon’ble Mrs.Justice T.V. Thamilselvi and Hon’ble Mr.Justice K.Rajasekar, Judges, Madras High Court, as Presiding Officers of the respective benches. The District Legal Services Authorities and the Taluk Legal Services Committees have constituted 232 benches throughout the State of Tamil Nadu.
