COMMON ORDER
In a suit seeking remedies in respect of the apprehended infringement of the plaintiff’s copyright in the cinematographic film titled “Balaramana Dinagalu”, the plaintiff has presented these two original applications seeking orders of interim injunction against the Internet service providers and cable TV operators, who are arrayed as respondents in the respective applications.
2. As evidence of the plaintiff’s ownership of the copyright, the plaintiff has filed the CBFC certificate describing the plaintiff as the producer. The promotional material reveals that the movie is slated for release on 26.06.2026.
3. In matters of this nature, it is likely that irreversible injury will occur, unless unlawful broadcast is prevented. At the same time, in view of the expansive nature of the relief claimed, it is possible that the legitimate business interest of one or more respondents may be affected. Therefore, it is necessary that the plaintiff shall indemnify in respect thereof.
