reservations for OBCs, SCs, and STs. Additionally, the income ceiling limit of Rs 8 lakhs per annum for OBCS has not been revised since 2017.

[09/08, 08:08] Sekarreporter: I participated in and spoke at the seminar conducted by the All India Other Backward Classes Employees Federation on “7th August—OBC Reservation Day ” in New Delhi.
During my speech, I addressed the various injustices faced by OBCS due to the current ruling government’s policies at the Union level. They have not removed the 50% cap on reservations for OBCs, SCs, and STs. Additionally, the income ceiling limit of Rs 8 lakhs per annum for OBCS has not been revised since 2017.
The income limit for availing post-matric and pre-matric scholarships has stagnated at ₹2.5 lakh for far too long.
Furthermore, the Union Government’s announced caste census has not progressed, and there is no clear roadmap for its implementation. The 2011 Socio-Economic and Caste Census data collected at a public expense of 4,800 crores remains unused and neglected in the Union Government’s cupboards.
Finally, there appears to be no genuine interest in increasing the reservation percentage for OBCs, which currently stands at 27%.
