Issues the direction after hearing Senior Counsel P.S. Raman who argued that no notice was issued to Brigade before revoking the environmental clearance. @THChennai
[24/07, 12:05] sekarreporter1: The Tamil Nadu State Environment Impact Assessment Authority has revoked the environmental clearance granted to Brigade Enterprises in January 2025 for construction of high rise residential towers near the Pallikaranai marshland, a designated Ramsar wetland site. The environmental clearance has been revoked since the project proponent failed to obtain permission from the wetland authority. Arappor Iyakkam had filed a case in this regard before the #MadrasHighCourt last year but it was dismissed in February this year.
