In this regard, I humbly request the Committee to consider limiting the number of voters to not more than 600 per polling booth. Allocating more than 600 voters to a single booth may lead to congestion, delays, and inconvenience, thereby affecting the overall polling process and potentially discouraging voter participation.

To The High-Level Election Committee Bar Council
Date: 24.03.2026
Respected Sir/Madam,
Sub: Request for adequate polling booths at Madras High Court premises Reg.
I respectfully submit that in the forthcoming Bar Council elections, thousands of advocates are expected to cast their votes at the Madras High Court premises. Considering the substantial number of voters concentrated in this location, it is essential to ensure smooth, efficient, and orderly polling arrangements.
In this regard, I humbly request the Committee to consider limiting the number of voters to not more than 600 per polling booth. Allocating more than 600 voters to a single booth may lead to congestion, delays, and inconvenience, thereby affecting the overall polling process and potentially discouraging voter participation.
To facilitate a fair and efficient election process, it is therefore requested that additional polling booths be arranged at the Madras High Court premises, ensuring that each booth handles a manageable number of voters. This will help maintain order, reduce waiting time, and uphold the integrity of the election process.
I trust that the Committee will take this request into consideration and make necessary arrangements in the interest of the legal fraternity.
Thanking You
Yours faithfully. G. Mohana Krishnan Ex-President, MHAA
