The Bench wants the governments to list out the number of Animal Birth Control (ABC) centres established by them, the number of veterinarians and other trained staff appointed so far, the frequency of sterilisation and vaccination programmes being conducted, steps taken for removal of stray dogs from institutional premises such as educational institutions, hospitals, parks and bus stands, the creation of helpline numbers to report dog bites and whether any mechanism had been put in place for adoption of stray dogs. Chief Justice Sushrut Arvind Dharmadhikari insists upon strict compliance of the Supreme Court orders and Justice G.
