The Decision of the Government of Tamil Nadu to give pension to those who joined in Service after 01.04.2003 is appreciable. I joined as a High Court Judge on 10.12.2005 and retired as a Chief Justice on 14.03.2017. Every month, when I am getting pension, I used to recall why I am paid pension though other Government servants who joined after 01.04.2003 are not being paid monthly pension. Similarly, persons elected as MLA and MP are being paid monthly pension even though they are elected after 01.04.2003.
