During the hearing of a case alleging distribution of ₹10,000 tokens with QR code by AIADMK candidate Royapuram Mano in Harbour constituency, Election Commission of India counsel Niranjan Rajagopalan tells #MadrasHighCourt that the flying squad made a visit to the spot on two occassions, on receipt of complaints, but it did not find anything. Therefore, the election officials have lodged a FIR and sought police assistance to investigate into the matter. He says, the ECI will pursue the matter and take action in accordance with law. #MadrasHighCourt Chief Justice’s Bench disposes of a case after recording his submission. சென்னை உயர்நீதிமன்றத்தில் தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

சென்னை உயர்நீதிமன்ற வழக்கறிஞர் கே ரவீந்திரன் தொடர்ந்திருந்த வழக்கில்,
சென்னை துறைமுகம் தொகுதியில் அதிமுக வேட்பாளர் மனோவுக்கு ஆதரவாக ஒவ்வொரு வீட்டிற்கும் கியூ ஆர் கோட் டோக்கன்கள் வழங்கப்படுவதாக தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
தேர்தலில் வெற்றி பெற்ற பின்பு இந்த க்யூ ஆர் கோடுகளை பயன்படுத்தி பத்தாயிரம் ரூபாய் பணம் பெற்றுக் கொள்ளுமாறு அதிமுகவினர் தெரிவித்து வருவதாகவும் இது தேர்தல் முறைகேடு என்றும் இதுகுறித்து தேர்தல் ஆணையத்திடம் புகார் அளிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதால் விசாரணை நடத்த உத்தரவிட வேண்டும் என்று கேட்டுக் கொண்டிருந்தார்.
இந்த வழக்கு சென்னை உயர் நீதிமன்ற தலைமை நீதிபதி எஸ் ஏ தர்மதிகாரி மற்றும் அருள் முருகன் அமர்வு முன்பு விசாரணைக்கு வந்தது.
அப்போது தேர்தல் ஆணையம் சார்பில் ஆஜரான வழக்கறிஞர் நிரஞ்சன் இரண்டு புகார்கள் வந்ததாகவும் இது குறித்து பறக்கும் படை சோதனை நடத்தப்பட்டதாகும் ஆனால் எதுவும் கண்டுபிடிக்க முடியவில்லை என்று தெரிவித்தார்.
மேலும் இந்த புகார் குறித்து காவல்துறை உதவியுடன் வழக்கு பதிவு செய்து விசாரணை நடைபெற்று வருவதாகவும் குறிப்பிட்டார்.
இதை பதிவு செய்து கொண்ட நீதிபதிகள்,
தேர்தல் ஆணையம் நடவடிக்கை எடுத்து வருவதால்
வழக்கை முடித்து வைத்தனர்.
