Greetings from the Joint Action Forum on Minorities.
The Joint Action Forum on Minorities has, over the past several months, been coordinating a nationwide movement involving Members of Parliament, religious leaders, legal experts, educational institutions, charitable organisations, civil society groups, and representatives of minority communities regarding the proposed Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2026.
A series of consultations have already been conducted across the country, including the meeting at the Constitution Club oflndia on 16 April 2026, the nationwide webinar on 25 April 2026, the national consultations held on 27 May and 17 June 2026, the healthcare consultation on 23 June 2026, and the National Core Committee consultation held in New Delhi on 24 June 2026. These meetings have witnessed participation from Members of Parliament, bishops, church leaders, social activists, legal experts, charitable institutions, healthcare organisations, and representatives of various denominations and civil society organisations.
In continuation of these efforts, the Joint Action Forum on Minorities is convening a Press Conference to briefthe media and the public regarding the concerns arising from the proposed FCRA (Amendment) Bill, 2026, the future course of action being undertaken across the country, and the preparations for the nationwide programmes scheduled in the coming weeks.
