Arun, IPS in the light of the adverse findings and observations made by the court against him on May 29, 2026. He says, a Division Bench of Justices G.R. Swaminathan and V. Lakshminarayanan had found the officer to have used his preventive detention power “for extraneous reasons” during his stint as Greater Chennai Commissioner of Police and such a finding by the court cannot be taken lightly.
