Justices S.M. Subramaniam and K. Surender of #MadrasHighCourt adjourn to June 15, 2026 a writ petition filed by film director S. Shankar against attachment of his properties worth ₹10.11 crore by the Enforcement Directorate. Today, Senior Counsel P.S. Raman, representing the director, said the predicate offence itself does not exist as on date since the complainant had withdrawn all cases against Mr. Shankar. However, the judges adjourned the hearing at the request of ED special public prosecutor who sought time to get further instructions. The court had already stayed the provisonal attachment of three of Mr. Shankar’s properties. @THChennai
