The Bench comprising Justices P. Velmurugan and K. - A Division Bench of the Madras High Court comprising Justices P. Velmurugan and K. Govindarajan Thilakavadi, on Monday, dismissed Original Side Appeal Nos. 62 and 63 of 2026, which had been preferred against the order passed by Justice Senthilkumar Ramamoorthy permitting the release of the film Dhruva Natchathiram. Mr. S.R. Rajagopal, Senior Counsel, and Mr. S.R. Sundar appeared on behalf of the appellants, while Mr. T.R. Rajagopal and Mr. Abdul Hameed, Senior Counsels, represented the respondents. While dismissing the appeals, the Division Bench granted liberty to the appellants to approach the learned Single Judge, before whom the Original Applications remain pending, should they seek any alteration, modification, clarification, or further relief in relation to the order already passed.
