hostels with immediate effect, failing which force eviction will take place.
Your lordship,
● This is bring to your notice that the administration has issued a arbitrary notification
dated 08-07-2020 against the students who are living in university hostels/ trust

hostels. The notification of Allahabad University per se is an arbitrary, capricious,
unethical and unwarranted.
● That the arbitrary notification of administration of Allahabad university will affect
the health of students if they will be forced to vacate the hostels in this corona
outbreak.
● That if administration wants to vacate the hostels, the said administration must
provide the travelling conveyance to the students because if the said administration
will not provide the said facilities to the students, it might create a situation of
demonstration by the aggrieved students which might increase the cases of COVID-
19.
● That the Universities are for the welfare of students and for their bright future, in
this tough time, it’s duty of the university administration to provide the best facilities
to its students and to look after their well-being but the said notification is contrary
to its motive. In the wake of CORONA Pandemic, its solemn duty has been cast
upon of university administration to look after the well-being of students , also to
ensure that there is no outbreak of COVID-19 among the students, but if the
university administration insists upon the forcefull eviction of the students then the
right to life enshrined under article 21 of constitution shall be infringed. Right to
life also include right to help.
● Since the Court has the duty and the power to ensure that the law
declared by it is actually enforced, it is requested that the Court
takes suo-motu notice of the matter. True copy of the notification
herein annexed as Annexure-1
