[08/09, 08:08] Sekarreporter: I participated in and spoke at the 18th anniversary event of the All India Indian Overseas Bank OBC Staff Welfare Association, held in Chennai and organized by the association.
During my speech, I addressed several important issues regarding the implementation of reservations for SC, ST, and OBC individuals in the Central Government, central universities, Public Sector Banks, PSUs, IITs, IIMs, and other institutions. I addressed the problematic “Not Found Suitable Candidate” doctrine, which is often misused to unjustly deny reservations to eligible candidates. I called for a review of those interviews and requested scrutiny of the individuals leading the interview process. I also highlighted that the income ceiling limit for the OBC creamy layer has not been revised since 2017, despite the passage of eight Union Budgets. Additionally, I called for the issuance of a consolidated circular to reaffirm the 1993 principle regarding the exclusion of salary and agricultural income.
Furthermore, I pointed out the deceptive practices used to deny appointments to SC, ST, and OBC individuals through the adoption of the “13-point roster system,” explaining how this system is designed to deny these appointments. I urged the gathering to remain united in the fight for their rights and to continuously demand what is rightfully theirs.
