ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by G.Arul Murugan,J)
Learned Amicus has filed a memo dated 12.01.2026, wherein he has pointed out that many of the cases are getting stuck up at the stage of service of summons. It is also pointed out that though e-summon application, an integrated digital platform, which is used to serve summons to the accused, is in place, the same is not effectively implemented due to lack of training to the police officials who are serving summons. In this regard, direction is sought in respect of para 9(c) of the memo dated 12.01.2026.
2. Learned Public Prosecutor submits that he will take instructions in respect of the above aspect and will also collect the list of MLAs against whom cases are pending and such list will be forward to the Amicus within a period of three weeks from today.
3. Learned Amicus shall, on receipt of such list from the Public
Prosecutor, consolidate the list and file a comprehensive report.
4. List the matter on 31.07.2026.
