Haasan’s lawsuit claims that such unauthorized use misleads the public into thinking he endorses these products, causing harm to his reputation. He’s seeking a permanent injunction against Neeye Vidai and other unknown entities, as well as interim injunctions to prevent the creation and distribution of infringing products and content.
The case is scheduled to be heard by Justice Senthilkumar Ramamoorthy on January 12, 2026. This move highlights the growing importance of intellectual property rights in the digital age, particularly for celebrities seeking to protect their persona.
