To
The Hon’ble Chief Justice,
High Court of Madras,
Chennai — 600 104.
Respected Lordship,
Sub: Representation regarding proposed shifting of Criminal Courts and Criminal Section — Reg.
We, the Madras High Court Advocates’ Association, in our Executive Committee Meeting held on 17.09.2025, have passed a resolution expressing our strong objection to the proposal for shifting the Criminal Courts and the Criminal Section to the Law College Campus, Chennai.
The Association firmly believes that such a move would cause significant inconvenience to both the Bar and the litigant public, and would adversely affect the smooth functioning and access to justice in criminal matters.
