So this a petition filed in Chennai. The relief was to formulate a SOP. So whether this relief would fall under a criminal WP? It is not about quashing. This is an incident with respect to Karur. Once it is a petition to karur and Madurai bench was taking cognisance so why this was entertained? That too for SOP? Principal bench can take cognisance we are not denying. But we want to understand from you.

Aryama: we are a political party, there is bias-to say that SIT will have police officers-we have a problem. A retired judge would be fine. We are not saying there should not be investigation. This political party is gaining power and this, SIT constituted with police officers who made allegations in my absence- I want an impartial investigation.

Let there be a fair investigation. You appoint a SIT of state officials after PP and AAG have made allegations against me! All we want is an impartial investigation.

HC after HC in totally unconnected matters-these are cases where officers have been found to be outstanding

Singhvi: at nascent stage the matter started and no material of negligence and abdication and is asked for CBI inquiry- this is a matter of federalism as well because CBI can’t get permission unless State gives consent with exception to apex court and high court- that’s why it has to be used sparingly.
