- Justice N. Anand Venkatesh observed that the medical records produced showed that the petitioner underwent surgery on July 12, 2024, and was discharged on July 17, 2024. Since the surgery occurred months after the limitation period expired and the petitioner had been actively contesting the matter before the CESTAT thereafter, the Court held that the medical reason could not justify the delay.”
- Significant order /Justice P T Asha observed that the petitioner submitted a representation in 2020 requesting the grant of conferment of Indian citizenship. Despite receipt of the representation, the same was yet to be considered by the authorities. Hence, the judge directed the authorities to consider the petitioner’s representation and pass appropriate orders in accordance with the law. The petition was disposed of.

The court further directed the Tiruvallur Chief Educational Officer to grant Lakshmi the maternity leave she is legally entitled to.
