Jammu and Kashmir High Court retired Chief Justice N. Paul Vasanthakumar as the head of a committee to monitor drawal of lots to allot those shops.
Justices R. Suresh Kumar & A.D. Jagadish Chandira of #MadrasHighCourt accept a revised layout map submitted by Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) reducing the number of shops on the Marina beach from 1,417 to 300. The judges also appoint Jammu and Kashmir High Court retired Chief Justice N. Paul Vasanthakumar as the head of a committee to monitor drawal of lots to allot those shops.
A retired district judge and a retired deputy registrar of the High Court have also been appointed to assist the retired Chief Justice. GCC has been directed to pay an initial honorarium of ₹5 lakh to the former Chief Justice & ₹2 lakh each to the other two members of the monitoring committee. @THChennai
