ORDER
This Writ Petition (Criminal) has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 4 herein to register an FIR against the sixth respondent and conduct an investigation, based on the petitioner’s complaint dated 12.06.2026.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Counsel for Government of Tamil Nadu (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents 1 to 4. Perused the materials available on record.
3. It is seen that the petitioner lodged a complaint before the second respondent making several allegations against the sixth respondent. In turn, the second respondent, by proceedings dated 02.07.2026, forwarded the complaint to the Registrar of Co-operative Societies for conducting a preliminary enquiry and submitting a report. The petitioner also lodged a complaint before the fourth respondent and the same is pending for enquiry.
4. In view of the above, the Registrar of Co-operative Societies, is directed to conduct a preliminary enquiry and submit a report to the second respondent within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the said report, the second respondent is directed to take a call on the enquiry report, if required any criminal action as against the accused persons, within a period of four weeks thereafter. The fourth respondent is also directed to conduct enquiry on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, after issuing notice to the petitioner and the respondents 5 and 6, and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if not already disposed of.
5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition (Criminal) stands disposed of. No costs.
