An all-girls final year team of Sriyaa S, Abirami V & Pradeeksha V from the SASTRA University School of Law was adjudged winners of the N. Natarajan Charitable Trust Criminal Law Moot Court competition 2025, conducted in association with the MADRAS BAR ASSOCIATION. The finals jury comprised Judges of the Madras High Court – Justice Satish Kumar, Justice Bharata Chakravarthy, Justice Mohd Shaffiq & Justice R N Manjula. The team faced School of Excellence in Law in the finals of this prestigious moot in which more than 30+ teams included many National Law Schools had participated. The moot proposition was on the applicability of AI as evidence in criminal law jurisprudence. The team was awarded a cash prize of ₹50,000 and Abirami V won the best speaker award with a cash prize of ₹10,000. Praeeeksha V won the 2nd best researcher and was awarded a cash prize of ₹5,000. The Awards were presented by Justice MM Sundresh, Judge, Supreme Court of India in the presence of the Chief Justice of Madras High Court Justice M.M.Shrivastava and Advocate General for Tamilnadu Sr Adv P.S.Raman.
