ORDER
The learned counsel appearing for the respondent would seek time to file counter.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the applicant would contend that after filing of the suit and till the filing of the written statement, the respondent had not made any defamatory or derogatory statement against the applicant. But, after filing the written statement, he had again started to make such statements impeding the applicant’s relationship with the Party. Further relying upon the order of this Court in Shankar @ Savukku Shankar Vs. G.Square Realtors Private Ltd., made in A.No.1009 of 2023 in C.S.No.189 of 2022 dated 26.06.2023 he would pray this Court to grant a similar injunction directing the respondents to verify with the applicant before making any statement against him.

Mr.P.T.Perumal, learned counsel appearing for the respondent on the other hand would contend that the statement made by him would only cause a different cause of action for him to initiate a separate suit and in the very same suit such an injunction should not be granted. Therefore, the application itself is not maintainable and he would further submit that the respondents cannot be prevented to make a fair criticism on the applicant.
4. Be that as it may, the pleadings are yet to be completed in the present application. Since the respondents have not made any statement till the date of filing of the written statement and the allegation is that such statements are made only after the filing of the written statement, to give a quietus to the issue atleast till the disposal of the application, till filing of counter by the respondents, the respondents shall maintain status quo by not making any statement as it prevailed till the date of filing of the written statement.
5. List the matter for filing counter on 08.09.2025.
