Our friendship continues and crosses more than a generation but even to date I feel that it remains young and ever green. No wonder as love, affection, truth and the nature never change till the world stops spinning.

Your knowledge and incredible memory on Tamil literature, Iaw and other subjects particularly the timely jokes cracked by you out of your presence of mind stun and surprise not only me but all closely travelling with us.

On today when you explained the saddest and painful feelings and expressions of two characters in the words of Kamban because of Lord Rama ie, Vali and Ravanan, one when he was shot by his arrows and another by his words “indru poi nalai Varahi” I feel proud of my Nation meant for culture,traditions and heritage shaped by Puranas and Epics.

But at the same time I feel that our generation slowly and digitally travel on the opposite direction forgetting our duties to the society and our Nation by concentrating more on our rights naming them fundamental for the life.

Even the fearful and tearful anger of our Nature in the name of flood and COVID do not seem to have caused any impact on us as every survivor of both think that we won’t be affected either by flood or COVID and we are born to live for 300 years .

Vazhudhi on one day yoû told me that “aram pizhaipporku arame kootravatham” to mean that the people dealing with rendition of justice to the aggrieved persons have to be perfect in seeing that justice is rendered to them and those who are responsible for the death of the same have to face death in the hands of justice god as faced by popular Pandian King of Madurai who sentenced Kovalan to death hastily on surmises from Kannagi the wife of Kovalan.

My maternal uncle S.Srinivasan ,a retired District Judge used to tell me about Manuneedhi Cholan whose statute is at the end of the RBI gateway that for no fault on his son’s part he gave verdict to make the chariot which ran over the calf of a cow driven by his son to run over his son to undergo the same saddest feelings of the cow and tears inspite of his Minister Veethividangan’s justifiable defence in favour of the prince that the cow was so carelessly allowing the calf to enter the ‘Rajapattai’ the road exclusively meant for the king and their family and unexpected of the same the Prince dashed the cow and ran over and there was no fault on the Prince.
But the King explaining the duties and responsibilities of a Ruler ordered to implement his verdict inspite of his minister’s act of killing himself first.Then the God appeared and gave life to all.

My uncle compared Rajapattai to the Railway track and used to say that the Prince would have been given an award had he faced the same problem on today for leaving the cow unpunished appreciating his magnanimity.

Very casual we are in dealing with the problems of others and none of us is ready to keep ourselves in the place of the aggrieved people and decide the solution.

We keep ourselves away and approach others and their problems as if we are all perfect and deal with them casually and criticise them.

According to me Vazhuthi we need not follow any complicated ideologies and principles to keep ourselves pride and happy as it is enough to give and treat others what you expect from them and what would from them make you happy.

Vazhuthi Iam able to hear your angry voice may noise scolding me badly that I invade and intrude your field too as if I have knowledge on all.

But, Vazhuthi I request you to take that I come out with my thoughts independently not with any knowledge but ignorant of any subject as only two categories of people come out boldly always , people of abundant and perfect knowledge and people having no knowledge.

So, Vazhuthi you can pardon me as I fall under the second category.

Above all COVID fear also would have driven me to blab. So, friend you have to tolerate me necessarily. Good night!
