In response to the request made by the Court, the learned Advocate
General has filed a memo duly signed by the first respondent.
2. Paragraph No.2 of the said memo dated 29.05.2026 reads as follows:
“ 2…. Considering the sustained financial stability and performance of TNPFIC, the Government of Tamilnadu have deemed it appropriate to extend its assurance by way of a guarantee on the safety of the deposits made by the respective temples with TNPFIC and secure the due repayment of deposits made by the temples, as and when they are due.”
3. The learned Advocate General submitted that the expression “Temples” found in the memo can be read as religious institutions as defined in the Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Act.
4. The aforesaid submission is placed on record.
5.For filing counter, post after eight weeks.
