Today a Criminal Original Petition in Crl.OP(MD).No.1269/2026, to quash the FIR in Crime No.604/2025, registered on the file of Thirupurakundram Police Station on 03.12.2025 citing Law and Order issue, which was registered against the General Public and Karyakarthas, while awaiting at the foot hills for lighting the Dheepam on 03.12.2025, came up for admission before Court Hall No.16 as item No.62. The Government Advocate Submitted that the Additional Advocate General-I Thiru Ajmal Khan is leading the matter and wanted time to argue. After hearing the arguments and recording the fact that the chargesheet had not been taken on file by the Judicial Magistrate and that as on today it is only E-Filing, Her Lordship Mrs.Justice L.Victoria Gowri J waÓs pleased to Grant an Order of interim Stay of all further proceedings in the FIR and had posted the matter on 03.02.2026 at 4.30pm for final hearing.
