ORDER
This Court had passed orders as early as in April 2025 directing respondents 1 and 2 to include the name of the petitioner in the promotion panel drawn for the year 2015–2016 on par with his juniors and to grant consequential service and monetary benefits However, the respondents have neither complied with the said order nor obtained any order from the Appellate Court staying or setting aside the same.
2. It is also seen that the petitioner had submitted representations dated 05.08.2025 and 12.09.2025, along with copies of the order, requesting the respondents to comply with the same. However, despite receipt of the said representations, the respondents have not complied with the order and have instead taken steps to file a Writ Appeal. We are now in the month of December 2025 and despite the lapse of several months since receipt of the notice, no steps have been taken by the respondents either to comply with the order of this Court or to obtain an order of stay in the Writ Appeal. There appears to be a clear case of contempt.
3. Therefore, Statutory Notice is issued to the respondents, returnable by 12.01.2026. In the event the order of this Court is complied with or an order of stay is obtained in the Writ Appeal, the respondents/contemnors need not be present.
4. Post the matter on 12.01.2026.
