Justices N Kirubakaran and Abdul Quddhose “Every day, it takes away life of very many people”, the Bench observed. Today Hon’ble Mr Justice Nirmal Kumar of Madras High court quashed the criminal defamation complaint initiated by Edapadi Palanichamy govt against Mrs Kanimozhi Karunanidhi before Villupuram District court . The defamation Case was filed against Mrs Kanimozhi in villupuram court for speaking about corruption of Edapadi Palanichamy in disposal of waste. Mr Palanichamy filed a criminal complaint through Public prosecutor. Mrs Kanimozhi approached HC and filed a quash petition and got a stay. Mr P. Wilson appearing for Kanimozhi argued that there can’t be protection from defamation in case of corruption and state cannot defend the corrupt Chief Minister through its resources, time and machinery
