State counsel: What is being portrayed in social media is as if we are against sanitary workers. In case lordships are having such an opinion, it is my duty to dispense with that opinion.
[14/08, 15:39] Sekarreporter: State: Yesterday, PIL was filed. I appeared for State. In that, this Court directed them to remove (protestors). I made a submission saying that the State does not want them to be dispersed, inspite of notice. Let them peacefully disperse, we don’t want confrontative approach.
[14/08, 15:39] Sekarreporter: State counsel mentions that another PIL regarding the protests was mentioned before Chief Justice Bench this morning, but it was declined.
[14/08, 15:44] Sekarreporter: State counsel says he has no objection to present Bench hearing the matter.

State counsel: We have no problem. I will go one step ahead and say please hear the matter.
[14/08, 16:22] Sekarreporter: AAG says, the Tamil Nadu Government is fully in support of the conservancy workers but certain vested interests are misleading the workers. He lists out new announcements approved by the State Cabinet yesterday for the welfare of conservancy workers.
