- Justice Senthilkumar Ramamoorthy of #MadrasHighCourt adjourns to tomorrow (April 29, 2026) a case related to the release of Chiyan Vikram’s long awaited movie Dhruva Natchathiram. Today, the movie’s director Gautam Vasudev Menon filed an affidavit listing out the number of debtors to whom money had to be paid and said, if they get paid, the movie could be released by the end of May. However, senior counsel Srinath Sridevan and s r sundar for the two investors K. Punniamoorthy and K. Premkumar, who had approached the court and obtained an injunction against the release, sought a day’s time to verify the large sums of money shown as debt by Mr. Menon. Hence, the judge adjourned the hearing by a day. @THChennai
- Based on the case registered for illegal mining against M/s Olympus granites company and it’s director Durai dayanidhi , ED attached various properties purchased out of ill gotten money out of illegal mining ED made provisional attachment and on original compliant filed before the adjudicating authority atNew Delhi , the attachment made by ED was raised ,As against the same ED preferred appeal before the appellant tribunal at Delhi and same was allowed and confirmed the order of attachment made by ED. Dayanidhi and co filed CMA 688 of 2026 before high court which came up today before RSKJ and NSJ after hearing both Appellant counsel N.Ramakrishnan and ED prosecutor Sidharthan ,the bench refuse to stay the order of appellant tribunal and adj the case by 4 weeks to file reply by Ed
