We were told we have to mention here. CJI Surya Kant: We will list in January… So that there is three judges bench Sundaram: Plea challenging the state act was heard and judgment was reserved and the vires matter was to come before him..there is urgency since people are unemployed. Sr Adv Arvind Datar: We have argued extensively. CJI: but the one in which judgment is reserved will enlighten us on power of state. If in our federal structure if it is held that state is incompetent then centre comes in.. so let the matter be heard.

[11/12, 14:03] Sekarreporter: Chemmal, former Principal District Judge of Kanchipuram District suspended by Madras HC on charges of abuse of power. Earlier in a case of personal motive, the District judge had ordered arrest of a DSP rank officer which was also quashed by the Madras HC. Chennai consumer court order / petner advocate TKS Gandhi against Airtell / In the result, the complaint is allowed. (i) We direct the 1st to 4th Opposite Parties jointly or severally to pay a sum of Rs.7,000/- (Rupees Seven Thousand Only) collected as excess with 18% from the date of complaint. (ii) To pay a sum of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand Only) for mental agony, harassment causing disruption in business communication, deficiency in service and unfair trade practice.
