Since then, much water had flown and most of these plaintiffs had left AIADMK and joined either TVK or DMK. The judge also permits withdrawal of a suit filed by AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami in 2023 to prevent Mr. Panneerselvam from interfering with the party affairs.
