Plastic case order S.VAIDYANATHAN,J., and P.T.ASHA,J., Mr.P.H.Aravindh Pandian, the learned Additional Advocate General has submitted that he could not convene a meeting with the concerned Officials on account of bereavement in his family and therefore, he seeks four weeks’ time to file his status report. 2. He has assured this Court that he will give necessary instructions to the HR&CE and other Departments to inspect places of worship, like Temple, Church, Mosque, etc., and warn shop owners of those religious premises not to use plastics of any kind to sell worshiping items and advise them to make use of alternate materials. He has further assured that he will also ensure that in the event of granting permission to conduct any sports event, dharna, protest, etc., Police Authorities incorporate a condition with regard to avoidance of plastic bags, paper cups and plastic bottles, etc., thereon. 3. At the request of the learned Additional Advocate General, list these matters on 03.03.2020.

In the light of the finding recorded above and the observation made in regard to the manner and purpose of alienation, nothing more is required to be directed. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with a clarification that the property of the temple would not be considered as property of the HR & CE Department and its alienation would be as per the provision of Section 34 of the Act of 1959.
