LD AG CLINCHES THE CASE IN FAVOR OF TN MK STALIN
The Hon’ble Supreme Court has rightly quashed the Madras High Court’s earlier order by the Chief Justice’s Bench — a welcome and well-reasoned verdict.
It was truly impressive to witness the powerful and persuasive arguments advanced by the Hon’ble Attorney General Shri PS RAMAN .Dr. Abhishek Manu Singhvi, Shri Mukul Rohatgi, and Shri P. Wilson.
While the Bench headed by the Hon’ble CJI appeared inclined to protect the TN Government’s stand and the ideals of social justice, it was the Hon’ble AG (TN) Shri P.S. Raman who commanded great respect and ultimately clinched the case with clarity and dignity.
The Supreme Court’s order substantially reflects Mr. Raman’s submissions, including:
The procedural impropriety and unfairness of the Madras CJH Bench,
The politically motivated nature of the writ petition, and
The unjustified targeting of Hon’ble Chief Minister Thiru M.K. Stalin, despite the scheme’s clear benefit to the socially and economically backward sections through the 10,000 awareness camps.
Shri P. Wilson assisted ably and clarified key legal aspects, while Dr. Singhvi’s contribution was precise and impactful.
