16.10.2025: Today before The Special Bench WP 36022 -2023 challenging the GO 115 Dated 17.05.2022 filed by Podhu Deekshithar Representing Sri Sabanayagar Temple came up for hearing along with two other Writ Petition Nos. 20467 of 2023, 30365 of 2023 filed by Devotees. On behalf of Podhu Deekshithars Senior Advocate Sri Hari Shankar for G. Chandarasekhar and Varsha Chandrasekhar filed the affidavits of Podhu Dikshidars. SGP read out the Inspection report of HR&CE department. Sri Hari Shankar made submissions on behalf of Podhu Dikshidars replying to the objections raised by SGP. After going through the affidavits and report, after submissions made by Sri. Hari Shankar, the Hon’ble Bench directed Sri Hari Shankar, to visit the temple personally and clarify the religious practices of Podhu Dikshidars in Kanagasabhai more specifically navaduvara mentioned in the affidavits of Podhu Dikshidars and submit the report and photographs. All the petitions are adjourned to 06.11.2025 along with W.M.P. No. 33563 & 33565 filed by Commissioner HR&CE in W.P. 574 of 2015 on specific mentioning of the same by SGP.
