Today Appavu matter came up for hearing before the Hon’ble Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Hon’ble justice Hrishikesh Roy of Supremecourt. Mr P. Wilson appearing for Mr Appavu submitted that pursuant to Madras HC order dated 1.10.2019 which was approved by Sc on 4.10.2019, the 203 postal ballots were opened and counted and Mr Appavu is in lead of 98 votes than Mr Inbadurai. He also submitted that Mr Mukil Rotagi’s client is MLA without any mandate of people for more than 4 years and

    Mr P. Wilson appearing for Mr Appavu submitted that pursuant to Madras HC order dated 1.10.2019 which was approved by Sc on 4.10.2019, the 203 postal ballots were opened and counted and Mr Appavu is in lead of 98 votes than Mr Inbadurai. He also submitted that Mr Mukil Rotagi’s client is MLA without any mandate of people for more than
    4 years and that Mr Appavu who has the people’s mandate has to be declared elected immediately by this Hon’ble Supreme Court as only 3 months is left for election. The will of people should prevail he submitted.
    He also pleaded before the SC to call for the report of Registrar of Madras HC Registrar who was directed to submit his report after counting by Madras HC in its order dated 1.10.2019.
    The Hon’ble Supreme Court after hearing the arguments has called for report of the Registrar with respect to the counting process conducted on 04.10.2019 pursuant to orders of HC.
