Today 10.11.2020 One prema filed a direction petition before the Hon’ble High court of Madras praying for registration of FIR and for re-postmortem of her husband Mr.Selvamurugan’s body. This matter came up for admission before Hon’ble Justice T.Ravindran and State was represented by State Public Prosecutor Mr.A.Natarajan and petitioner was represented by counsel Mr.P.Kumaresan. State PP A.Natarajan informed the court that this is not a custodial death as projected by petitioner and new fabricated stories were created in this matter only for Political reasons. State PP informed the court that the deceased Mr.Selva Murugan involved in chain snatching on 30.10.2020 and during that time he was caught red handed by the victim divya and public and handed over him to the police. After that incident he was properly remanded to prison by judicial magistrate. State PP stated that on 30.10.2020 he was remanded to prison and after three days of his confinement in prison only on 2.11.2020 he complained about epilepsy (fitts) to prison authorities and thereby he was moved to nearby government hospital. During his inpatient treatment the petitioner/wife of the deceased mrs.Prema was present and informed to the duty doctor that he is know case of epilepsy (fitts) problem. While giving adequate treatment, the deceased and his wife prema denied for further treatment and only due to their unwillingness Selvamurugan was moved back to prison and once again he complained of medical problem on 4.11.2020 night at 10.20PM. Jail authorities immediately rushed to nearby government hospital on same day at 10.35 PM were he was declared dead. State PP informed the court that this is real incident happened and no custodial torture or death happened as narrated by the petitioner. State Pp also informed the court that no re-postmortem is required in this case since already a team of doctors conducted postmortem by duly follwing the narional human rights guideline and the same was video graphed in the presence magistrate. State Pp informed that the doctor who treated the deceased selvamurugan stated in the accident register (medical certificate) that there is no obvious exteral injury on his body. State Pp informed the court that already a case was registered and the same now been transferred to CBCID for proper investigation. State PP requested the court for some time for filing a detailed counter. After hearing the arguments of both side Hon’ble Justice has recorded all the facts informed by the State PP and adjourned the case to 18.11.2020 for filing a counter. In the mean time hon’ble justice also directed the petitioner counsel to implead CBCID as respondent in this case before next hearing.
