Justices GR Swaminathan and V Lakshminarayanan of #MadrasHighCourt ask TN Advocate General PS Raman whether the DVAC will given an undertaking not to close any of the FIRs regarding TASMAC until the disposal of a case seeking a CBI probe  AG says, his statement need not be recorded but he will inform the Home Secretary not to close any of the FIRs until the disposal of the case. Judge ask senior counsel Dama Seshadri Naidu, for the petitioner, if he is agreeable to such an understanding.

Judges record AG’s submission that he would advise the Home Secretary to not close any closure report in pending cases till the next date of hearing of the present PIL. Adjourns the PIL by three weeks and directs State govt to file a status report by then.
