[4/5, 17:54] Sekarreporter 1: 2020 as to how to gradually resume the functioning of
courts and at the same time avoid any unnecessary rush
with reduced footfalls. The suggestions may also include
indications as to the measure and the amount of help, viz.
health, sanitation or any other ancillary facilities that may be
required from the administration as well.
The Hon’ble The Chief Justice and Hon’ble Judges of the
Administrative Committee of the High Court holding a video-
conferencing with all the Principal District Judges, Principal
Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai and Chief Judge, Puducherry
to discuss the matter between at 11.00 a.m. and 1.00 p.m.
on Tuesday, 7th April, 2020.
As directed, I am to request you to send your
suggestions on the above lines, to the email ID
tncourtmanagers@gmail.com on or before 06-04-2020.
All the Principal District Judges, Principal Judge, City
Civil Court, Chennai and Chief Judge, Puducherry are
requested to be present for video conference to be held on

th April, 2020 at 10.00 a.m., without fail.

Sub: COVID19 – Subordinate Courts –Meeting through V.C.
on 07.04.2020 with Principal District Judges regarding the
resumption of Subordinate Courts functioning – to be
strategically planned, may be, in a phased manner –
Regarding.


The lockdown period announced by the Central
Government may be relaxed in future and keeping that in
view, the resumption of subordinate courts functioning will
have to be strategically planned, may be, in a phased
manner as the impending threat of spread of the Corona
Virus even though had decreased earlier but as reported to
have shown signs of escalation.
All the Principal District Judges, Principal Judge – City
Civil Court, Chennai and the Chief Judge – Puducherry may
come forward with suitable suggestions to the Registrar
General, Madras High Court, on or before the 6th of April,
