Savukku Shankar is an absconding accused, Greater Chennai City Police told #MadrasHighCourt today. Appearing before Justice M. Nirmal Kumar, Additional Public Prosecutor R. Muniyapparaj said, Savukku Shankar has now filed a couple of petitions seeking a CBI probe in two of the criminal cases pending against him though the city police had already concluded the investigation in both the cases and filed charge sheets. However, since a junior counsel sought time for the appearance of a senior counsel on behalf of the petitioner, the judge adjourned the hearing on the two petitions to April 27, 2026 @THChennai
