Madras HC: Statements recorded during a GST inspection can justify immediate blocking of ITC. The petitioner challenged the 5-Dec-2025 block (Rule 86A) as being done by an officer below Assistant Commissioner rank. Court said the action relied on the MD’s inspection statement admitting suspicious ITC, and precedent (Indian Trades v. CTO) allows presumption of proper authorization. Writ dismissed; block stands.
