Mohanakrishnan President Mhaa: G.Krishnan,known as GK among legal fraternity was born in the year 1937. He started his professional journey in the year 1960 at Tirunelveli & was closely associated with the doyen of the bar Late Sri NT Vanamamalai,known among lawyers as NTV.

He started his professional journey in the year 1960 at Tirunelveli & was closely associated with the doyen of the bar Late Sri NT Vanamamalai,known among lawyers as NTV.
Later shifted his practice to Madras along with Sri NTV & became a top trial lawyer as well as made a mark in the High Court of Madras.
To name a few high profile cases in Chennai are
1)He appeared in the famous Muster Roll case of Chennai Corporation right from the trial court to the Supreme Court.
2).He was actively associated with Sri NTV in defending the actor MR Radha against Sri MGR in the shooting case.
3).He was actively associated with Sri NTV in appearing for Justice Sarkaria Commission regarding charges leveled against Sri Kalaignar Karunanidhi.
4).He appeared for Selvi Jayalalithaa in the Coal case filed against her in the trial court which ended in acquittal.
5).He landed his foot in the Supreme Court of India during year 1997 & made a mark by appearing in many cases.
He has groomed many juniors who are all well placed& to name a few are B Jayaraman,K.Srinivasan,who is now Spl PP CBI,G.Saravanan,A.Radhakrishnan who his now an advocate on record before the Supreme Court,G.Mohanakishnan,who is now the President of MHAA& member of Bar Council of Tamilnadu& Puducherry.
6) Close associate are V Gopinath,senior counsel,former judges Justices KN BSha,T Sudanthiram,R Ragupathy, S.Ashok kumar senior counsel,A Sasidharan,SAnantha narayanan,senior counsel,Late Justice A Pakiaraj,Late Mr Desappan.
7)He was also part time professor teaching law in Madras Law College.
8) Among the bar he is considered to be the best cross examiner in trial cases.
