Read the commendable order passed by Hon’ble Mr. Justice S.M.Subramaniam with regard to Varadaraja Perumal temple, Kanchipuram. This issue has been pertaining and pending before the court for many decades.
When I was the Special Government Pleader for HR & CE, this matter came up for hearing before Division Bench, wherein Senior counsels appeared on both the sides. The Division Bench was of the view that since a batch of writ petitions has been pending before the Hon’ble Court for a longer period, amicable settlement between both the sects shall be advised.

Every year a petition has been filed praying to quash the order passed by the Executive Officer and it has made arduous for the court to decide upon the issue.

Being the case, the order passed by the Hon’ble justice if adhered by the both the sects shall maintain the tranquility in the society. Both the sects consists dignified and brilliant people, implementing the order by the sects will be much appreciated. In addition to this there will be no law and order issue between the sects further.
