As per the instructions of the Hon’ble High Court, Madras in the Official
Memorandum 2nd cited above the following instructions are issued:
Civil Cases :
Fresh Civil Cases shall be taken on file only in case of EXTRA ORDINARY
URGENCY on the satisfaction of the Court as directed by the Principal Judge. Plaint,
Affidavit, Vakalath and other relevant documents softcopy shall be submitted in the e-mail
mentioned below. Affidavit with undertaking for court fees shall be paid on the date of court
resumes workfully. Cases will be heard through VIDYO (Online Video Conferencing) only.
In case of urgent applications in pending cases, the representation shall be placed
before the presiding officers of the concerned courts, after notifying the opponent and if both
the parties agree, pending cases will be heard on Turn Basis with fixed timelines. The
Judicial Officer shall hear the case through Vidyo.
The Counsel filing urgent Civil cases are required to download the Vidyo App and to
be equipped with the usage of App as and when required by the Court.

Criminal Cases shall be heard as per the prevailing procedures through Online. In case
of Online filing copy of the email shall be marked to Public Prosecutor concerned.
