Hon’ble Justice Mahadevan directed the Police not to take further action in this case until 3.1.2020 so that the Hon’ble division bench will hear the matter before first. Hence case is adj to 03.01.2020.
Today 16.12.2019 two revision petition Crl.RC.1418 and 1420/2019 came up before Hon’ble Justice Mr.Mahadevan – Court hall.38 as item no.42 and 43. Both revision petition filed by the accused persons one Ganpat Lal Babel, Ankit Babel and S.Natarajan (Advocate) praying for set aside the order passed by the learned Magistrate in 156(3) directing the C2, Elephant Gate Police Station to register FIR against 8 persons who are all committed the offence of Extortion. The above petitioners Ganpat Lal Babel, Ankit Babel and S.Natarajan (Advocate) are accused and in which SEKAR BABU MLA and Advocate Saravanan DMK Spokes person along with two other advocates are all also accused in the case. State was represented by State PP Mr.A.Natarajan and State PP informed the court that already based on the direction of the Learned Magistrate u/s.156(3) Elephant gate police had registered the FIR against all the accused. The counsel for De-facto complainant appeared before the court and informed that since several accused are advocates whi involved in this case, he had mentioned before Hon’ble Justice Mr.Kirubakaran Bench which is specially constituted for cases against advocates and obtained slip to list his petition. Taking note of the above submissions, Hon’ble Justice Mahadevan directed the Police not to take further action in this case until 3.1.2020 so that the Hon’ble division bench will hear the matter before first. Hence case is adj to 03.01.2020.
